In the recent days many remote and battery operated toys have flourished. In a recent survey, it has been proved that some of the remote operating toys use infrared LED’s (light emitting diode). As these infrared rays are more harmful for children they are prone to some skin trauma. In some of the battery operating toys(car, plane etc.,)if the battery leak, the caustic liquid which is highly poisonous seeps out and may even cause chemical burns to babies. Apart from these battery and remote controlled toys some of the toys like He-man; Barbie’s are made of some harmful radioactive elements. As children lick it unknowingly they cause harmful effects in children’s body. Some of the toys have paints coated over it. The paints have high content of lead and Arsenic in it which is highly toxic to health hence most children are affected by PLUMBISM (lead poisoning).United states have passed many liability Acts in this accord. According to this act the consumers are advised not to buy toys made of radioactive elements like Lead, Arsenic etc., Manufacturers and retail sellers are advised to sell consumer friendly products. The law has also ordered the manufacturers to refund the amount in case any customer’s claims his/her product being unsafe.
